The quality of the packaging and vinyl is really good for a bootleg. It sounds great too, except for the large spaces between songs.
I'm puzzled by the complaints about the packaging, as it was never promoted as a special or deluxe version. For $20, this is exactly what I anticipated. It sounds incredible on my system. I'd suggest grabbing a copy if you're a fan of the album.
The sole issue I've noticed with my copy is the strange, and I do mean strange, typos. There are so many that it almost feels like they were put there on purpose. It doesn't really detract from the overall experience, but how can the lyrics to "Life's Hard, Here's a Song About Sorrel" be completely different on the sleeve? It's odd, but also kinda cool as a misprint. Maybe they'll fix it in later pressings, or perhaps we'll find out it was intentional. Other than that, I pre-ordered this as soon as it came out and I'm not disappointed. I've played it more than most of my other records. It's been the best purchase of 2019/2020 so far. Highly recommend. Now I just need to get my hands on Veteran on vinyl.
Alright, the album is fire, no doubt about it, and the sound quality is spot on! The pressing is top-notch with minimal noise and solid full range/dynamics. But that's where the good ends, the sleeve is a total mess, low-quality, all wonky and oversized. Still, I'm giving it five stars 'cause it was dirt cheap, but honestly, the album deserved way better treatment IMO.
Absolutely flawless, Peggy looks and sounds amazing, no marks, plays like a dream, no skips!
