This hip hop legend's first album showcases their versatility and potential across various aspects of the art form. The lyrics are consistently impressive throughout, often tackling societal issues. It kicks off strong, but around the midpoint, the momentum dips slightly, and the interest wanes a bit. While the first half keeps you hooked with clever lyrics and engaging beats, the second half isn't as captivating, and the wordplay isn't as sharp as the opening tracks. The same could be said for the production, in my view. However, it wraps up just as powerfully as it began, maintaining that high standard. Standout tracks include "Part Time Mutha," "Soulja's Story," and particularly "Violent." Overall, it's a promising debut from a talented artist.

This album is an absolute banger. The presentation and packaging are top-notch. I took a chance and bought it at 35, having only heard a few of 2pacβs big hits throughout my life. Make sure to play the lesser-known tracks for your crew!!!
