Awesome version!! Received my copy a couple of days ago, it sounds fantastic, super happy with it!
This is the best sounding version they've ever put out. Don't waste your time with those colored junk ones. It comes with a top-notch, premium sleeve and high-res printed inner sleeves, which is quite a shock for a bootleg. It still sounds a tad off, but come on, it's a bootleg! It's got a solid punch and is pretty dynamic. It's almost like an official pressing.
Perhaps I built up this release too much in my mind, having adored Tool's previous three albums. It feels like the band aimed to keep a more progressive vibe in their music, rather than the heavier style found on Aenima and Undertow. A large part of the album is slower, more melodic, and even laid-back at times. And while the album still features Tool's classic 6-minute+ epics, only a few songs like "Vicarious" could've slotted into their older works. While 10,000 Days isn't a bad album by any means, fans of Tool's previous stuff expecting a similar sound might end up a bit let down.

The tunes on this vinyl are absolutely fantastic, but the format itself is just a cool extra, nothing more. And that's a shame because the packaging is a real letdown. This is a double album, yet it's crammed into a standard sleeve meant for a single LP. They really should've gone with a double gatefold, which would've been perfect for showcasing more of Tool's artwork. Plus, given the price, you'd think they could've at least made sure the packaging could handle the release properly. The music is some of the best around, but the packaging is a real disappointment.
