In juni 2025 brengt Pavel Kolesnikov een opwindend nieuwe album uit op het prestigieuze label harmonia mundi. Met een speeltijd van 49 minuten, combineert dit album de krachtige composities van Igor Stravinsky en de elegantie van Maurice Ravel, allemaal briljant uitgevoerd op de piano door Kolesnikov.
Het album opent met Stravinsky's revolutionaire "Le Sacre du printemps" (De lente), een werk dat bekend staat om zijn complexe ritmes en intense emoties. Kolesnikov brengt dit meesterwerk tot leven in een vierhandige pianoversie, die de luisteraar meeneemt op een reis door de verschillende delen van het werk, van de "Adoratie van de Aarde" tot de "Offerdans".
In het tweede deel van het album vind je Ravel's "Ma mère l'Oye" (Mijn moeder de gans), een verzameling van vijf pianostukken die geïnspireerd zijn op klassieke verhalen.
