It's inevitable to draw parallels between these two works, and regrettably, the latest album doesn't quite measure up to the innovation and inspiration that made her previous album so remarkable. "In Mijn Bloed" captivated listeners with its fresh and engaging elements, whereas "De Tijd Gaat Mooie Dingen Doen" lacks that sense of novelty. Despite this, there are a few standout tracks on the album. Songs like "Ik Ben Vrij" and the titular track "De Tijd Gaat Mooie Dingen Doen" are beautiful additions to her discography, showcasing her enduring talent as a singer and songwriter. "Signalen" revisits the electronic sound introduced on her debut album. While this is an intriguing choice, it doesn't quite reach the standard of her earlier work and falls slightly short of being convincing. Additionally, the absence of tracks like "Mama Was Een Klootzak" and "Kapot," which were released in between albums, as bonus tracks is a missed opportunity.
