Bob Chilcott's "St. John Passion" is een krachtig en inspirerend werk dat de Passieverhaal op een dramatische, maar optimistische manier vertelt. Dit album, uitgebracht op 3 maart 2015 via Signum Records, combineert 13e- en 17e-eeuwse Engelse poëzie met teksten uit de King James Bijbel. Chilcott, een bekende Britse koordirigent en componist, brengt de Passieverhaal tot leven met zijn unieke stijl, die zowel toegankelijk als diepgaand is. De tenor soloist neemt de rol van de Evangelist op zich, net als in de grote Passie-werken van Bach, en leidt de luisteraar door de verschillende scènes van de Passie.
