Upon receiving my copy, I had to give it a good clean as it was full of paper dust. There's still some crackling present. You can definitely hear a hiss on track one. Applying a high cut at 8kHz can help with that, but it affects the rest of the album.
Rather loud. As for background noise, it ought to be completely silent.
