HK Gruber is an Austrian composer, conductor, and chansonnier who defies easy categorization, blending neo-Romantic, neo-tonal, and neo-expressionist influences into his unique musical style. Born in Vienna in 1943, Gruber began his musical journey as a member of the renowned Vienna Boys' Choir. He later studied composition at the Vienna Hochschule für Musik.
