Annie Raines

Annie Raines is an accomplished American blues harmonica player, born in Boston in 1969 and raised in Newton, Massachusetts. Her musical journey began at the age of 17 when she picked up the blues harp, inspired by the legendary sounds of Muddy Waters. She made her stage debut at one of the River Festivals between 1987-1993, marking the start of her captivating career.

Raines is renowned for her work as part of the acoustic, country blues duo with guitarist Paul Rishell, whom she met in 1993. Together, they have enchanted audiences with their down-home country blues sound, performing at various venues and tours, including a Midwest tour with shows in Marietta, Ohio, and Pittsburgh, PA.
