James has truly outdone themselves with this fantastic album. The vinyl is incredibly quiet and the sound quality is superb.
Plenty of tracks packed into this album, and it all sounds fantastic. James has really outdone themselves here. This could very well be my top pick from the band. After all these years and countless albums, it's amazing to see them still at the peak of their game. And let me tell you, the lyrics are top-notch too.
Until now, I hadn't gotten around to sharing my thoughts on this album, as I typically do for music I enjoy. To cut to the chase, I believe "Yummy" is the definitive farewell from the Manchester band fronted by the iconic Tim Booth, who also handles the lead vocals. In "Yummy," we encounter electronic exploration paired with emotionally resonant pop songs that soar to great heights. It's the most clear-sighted and elegant arrival of inspiration and modernity, aiming for a top spot in both English and international music. A glorious album in every sense, it's surprising, packed with motivation, positivity, and subtle rebellion. Since "Pleased to Meet You," their most acclaimed album to date and a cult favorite, I have no doubt that "Yummy" will achieve the same status over time, or something close to it. And if we consider their additional album of tracks not included in the initial release, "Pudding," we're talking about a legendary band that has been on the music scene for 40 years, reaching new heights of perfection. Without a doubt, this is the album we needed from James, because at the end of the day, a music lover cherishes those records that can be carried everywhere and become part of daily life, with each song turning into an anthem. Thanks, James.
