Wow, what an amazing album!!! Her voice is absolutely perfect for this type of music, the way it shimmers with vibrato is just breathtaking, especially with that fantastic jazz backing. She's easily one of my favorite singers ever. If you're into that classic mid-century lounge jazz vibe, you gotta grab a copy for yourself!

Rosemary Clooney is an incredible vocalist who dominated the '50s scene. Yet, her later voice (70s-80s) was more mature and expressive, in my opinion. These Concord Jazz albums showcase a wonderful mix of classic standards and contemporary pop tunes, masterfully interpreted. She truly shines with somber love songs, pouring a deep melancholy into her delivery. It's simply enchanting. Now, let's talk about Cal Collins on guitar. This guy is phenomenal. He brings an immense talent to the session, unleashing his brilliance in short, powerful bursts. I've since gone on a hunt to collect all Cal Collins records I can find, as I'm completely hooked on his music. And as if he were the only remarkable sideman, we also have Vache, Pierce, Tjader, and Jake Hanna, making this an all-star jazz gathering. This ensemble swings with incredible energy and provides an outstanding backdrop for Rosemary's vocal prowess. Highly recommended.
