The audio quality is fantastic, Waylon's vocals really shine. Totally agree with that post from last year - what an amazing live performance!
Waylon Jennings and his band absolutely rip through these eleven tracks with a ton of energy for a crowd that's really into it. No complaints about this record, the guitars have a great crunch, vocals come through crisp, and the sound is solid from start to finish. My copy plays smooth with just a bit of faint surface noise between songs.
Waylon's never been better, and this is hands-down my top live album, no matter the genre. Pure, unfiltered energy here. The CD's extended version packs in way more tracks than the original vinyl's 11 songs.
This album showcases Waylon at his finest, with only "Honky Tonk Heroes" coming close. The live tracks truly embody his essence. I believe it's underrated, perhaps because of the lackluster cover art.
