The band really went all out on this album, incorporating a wide range of electric and acoustic instruments. As usual, ECM delivered top-notch engineering, mixing, and production. It might sound a bit old-fashioned these days, but I still found the music engaging, even if not every track was my cup of tea.
Thirty-eight years post its launch, this 24-bit 192kHz remaster is an absolute sonic delight. The crispness, punch, and balance are spot on. No harsh highs or overpowering bass to deal with here. The sheer amount of subtle details is mind-blowing. It's like having a direct listen to the master tape!
Absolutely fantastic all around. The music is truly groundbreaking, with a hint of free jazz, and it's incredibly enjoyable to listen to.
