Fantastic album with top-notch audio quality. It was mastered at Sterling Sound. The record comes with a printed cardboard inner sleeve, but it did scratch my vinyl. Fortunately, the scratches don't affect the sound.
I'm baffled how my copy made it through quality check - I suspect some black/blue bits might've mixed in during production. The pressing seems alright apart from that, a tad noisy but the album's quality overshadows any minor issues.
Fantastic recording, crisp guitar sounds and a wide dynamic range. Julian and the band are absolutely smokin’! This is definitely one of my top Blue Note picks from this decade/century/millennium/post-1980s era. I need more of this kind of magic!!
my version (Europe) is flawless. two thumbs up !!!! Jazz guitar perfection !
Terrible, heavily squashed audio! The pressing is poor too, tons of hiss (not static, it's from the pressing). Super dark sound, lacking any highs. The drums sound like they've got no cymbals at all. I don't get the "audiophile sound" comments! Worst Blue Note LP I've ever bought.
