I recently found this at Urban Outfitters on sale for $13.99 and just had to grab it, but as others have mentioned, the sound quality is pretty awful. The tracks are super compressed and come out all muffled and fuzzy. Plus, unlike most Urban Outfitters releases, there's no printed inner sleeve, just a plain white paper one... Still, I'm glad I added it to my collection since this album is what made me a Demi fan in the first place! I'll definitely keep it on my shelf but will stream it in lossless quality on Apple Music for the "real" experience!
I gotta say, my copy sounds fantastic! I wasn't expecting much after reading some not-so-great reviews, but this master turned out to be really solid! A few tracks felt a tad squashed, and around the middle, the volume dipped a bit. But hey, it's totally worth it!
The sound quality of my copy is really nice - no skips, background noise, or distortion. I just wish it had inserts, but I'm still really into this album and the “lava” color.
My record sounds absolutely perfect. I reckon those who are unhappy must have a cheap record player, like a Crossley or something. By the way, I've got the UO version, not the one from Disney Emporium.
The sound quality isn't great. I bought it primarily for one track ("Fix A Heart"), which isn't something I usually do, but I thought, "Why not?" Naturally, it just ends up sounding like a squashed mess. And the color... sure, it matches the album cover when pictured together, but it's almost like they tried too hard. I reckon the "Lava Mix" looks pretty hideous. This release feels so half-hearted and could've been way better if it was just a plain cream or tan/brown and had a decent mastering job.
