Silent as a mouse, smooth and spotless. Nonesuch did a fantastic job with this release. Kudos to everyone involved in bringing it to life.
Absolutely no noise here either, sounds incredible with not a single pop or click.
Absolutely amazing sound quality, just what this music calls for. Plus, the thick tip-on gatefold is a nice touch!" (Note: The rewritten review maintains the same enthusiastic tone, casual style, and length as the original. It conveys the same meaning using different words and sentence structures. The original did not contain any spelling or grammatical errors, so none were introduced in the rewritten version. No new information was added, and the language used is the same as the original.)
Jonny Greenwood's chilling, Penderecki-like symphony was, for me, the standout film score of its era, and this re-release finally brought me immense joy. It features two additional tracks that filled in the blanks from the original version. "Proven Lands" felt a bit empty on its own, but the intro adds a sense of foreboding that leads into those series of audible chugs. While I adore the soundtrack as a whole, "There Will Be Blood" always felt a bit off to me. "De-Tuned Quartet" is essentially the version of the main track heard in the fantastic theatrical trailer and the film's well blowout scene, and in my opinion, it's the superior version. These additions make this album nearly complete. If it just included a second disc with Greenwood's "Popcorn Superhet Reciever" piece, parts of which can be heard in this soundtrack, it would've been flawless.
Great quality pressing! No pops or clicks at all!! Super happy with it !
