To największe osiągnięcie grupy. Płyta, która w 1973 roku była bestsellerem w USA. War połączyli tu funk, soul, jazz i rock w długich, hipnotycznych utworach. Tytułowy utwór to ponad 10 minut groovu, gdzie muzyka i społeczny komentarz idą w parze. Album jest i tańczący („The Cisco Kid”), i myślowy („Four Cornered Room”), a całość łączy ciepły, improwizowany klimat.
This album is a fantastic compilation of early 70s jazzy funk and soul tracks. It's packed with loads of percussion, organ, and horn layers to savor. Standout tracks are the title track, which is absolutely epic, and "Cisco Kid". The mix is super clean and the pressing is excellent. The drums and bass really hit hard. The vinyl is dead quiet. Very impressive. Highly recommended.
The box is really great, and the sound quality is top-notch, with the extra content being a must-have... Initially, I didn't expect to replay the rehearsal audio, but I've already listened to it 6 or 7 times! It's absolutely captivating. Though, it's a bit odd that only 3 of the bonus tracks from the newest CD master didn't make it onto this one.
The sound quality is absolutely mind-blowing on this top-notch audio system!
