Whether a review is positive, negative, or neutral, we always publish it. However, we screen every review to ensure it is authentic and free of profanity. These checks happen automatically, though a human occasionally steps in. We never pay for reviews.
Truth be told, this ain't The Gator's finest work, drowning as it does in overly sweet strings, pointless backing vocals, and a clinical studio polish that'd make even the most easygoing jazz enthusiast wince. Willis isn't terrible, but he's stuck in that elevator/market music rut that leeched so much life outta the 70s. Sure, there's a rare decent groove or solo tucked away here and there, but don't go huntin' for any real gut-bucket grit or powerful horn work on this record.
