Curious to hear what Joe Henderson, Ron Carter, and Al Foster would sound like jamming in your living room? Then GRAB THIS! (and don't forget Volume 2...)
Great pressing, 180g vinyl, spotless. The sound quality is simply divine. The sax is upfront and rich. The bass is natural yet impactful, giving you that authentic mono recording experience. This is one of the finest (possibly the best) in terms of sound from this BN series. Fun fact: the BN80 logo is on the back of the sleeve, even though it was never officially released as part of the 80 series. A few months later, a more premium edition was launched in the Tone Poet series. The thin cardboard sleeve stays true to the original design, with an antistatic inner sleeve. The version sold in Spain came with an 8-page collectible booklet about the artist and the album.
Didn't have any problems with my version. Shame, it's not uniform. But it's definitely value the swap for a defective version, as the sound quality is amazing in every way.
Gorgeous Tone Poet, incredibly quiet pressing, ideal for an intimate live performance. Not as easy to get into as other TPs, but absolute icons collaborating here. A must-have for any jazz enthusiast.
Mine's absolutely fantastic, amazing sound quality! A true virtuoso. It takes a few listens to fully appreciate it.
