Whether a review is positive, negative, or neutral, we always publish it. However, we screen every review to ensure it is authentic and free of profanity. These checks happen automatically, though a human occasionally steps in. We never pay for reviews.
I've got one of these with a gatefold, too? Just like what you're seeing in the pics. Same label on the vinyl.
I'm quite fond of this album, there are moments when it absolutely lets loose in the best way possible. Plus, even though it seems like regular black, check out your copy in the light. You might notice it's actually a deep, bloody red.
I was hoping this would be the Wakeman album for me, but it didn't quite hit the mark. The band lineup here looks great on paper, and they're skilled musicians, but the album just falls flat. It's dull, honestly. I think the songwriting's the issueβit feels weak and too focused on Wakeman's keys, which isn't surprising since it's his album. The only parts I kinda liked were some of the drumming and grooves, like in the last song. Maybe this was cool back in the 70s, but in 2021, it just sounds weird as hell.
Baroque and Prog blended together in a way I didn't realize I craved so much
Instead of trudging through nearly 30 minutes of self-importance, I've discovered it's far more enjoyable to start listening right when "Catherine Parr" kicks off.
