Product Description

Hawthorne Heights returns with their highly anticipated album, "The Rain Just Follows Me," released on September 10, 2021, under Pure Noise Records. This powerful collection of tracks blends the raw energy of emo, screamo, and post-hardcore with the catchy hooks of emo pop and pop punk, creating a dynamic and engaging listening experience. Clocking in at just under 37 minutes, the album is a concise yet impactful journey through the band's signature sound, showcasing their evolution and growth.

From the opening track "Constant Dread" to the closing notes of "Bambarra Beach (The End)," Hawthorne Heights delivers a relentless barrage of emotive lyrics and powerful instrumentation. Standout tracks like "The Rain Just Follows Me" and "Thunder in Our Hearts" highlight the band's ability to craft anthems that resonate deeply with fans. The album also features more introspective moments, such as "Tired and Alone" and "Words Can't Hurt," demonstrating the band's versatility and depth.

With "The Rain Just Follows Me," Hawthorne Heights continues to solidify their place in the emo and pop punk scenes, offering a raw and authentic album that captures the essence of their live performances. Whether you're a long-time fan or new to their music, this album is a testament to the band's enduring appeal and their ability to create music that connects with listeners on a profound level.

This 2022 Repress LP is pressed on Blue vinyl.

    4 out of 5 stars

Audio's alright.. nothin' special. Blended kinda meh. seriously missin' that low end.. where's the bass? highs? somethin'? The pressing is physically spot on and centered, which is honestly seemin' rare these days.. but damn, surface noise is a letdown, specially towards the end of both sides. Side B seems to outshine Side A overall. Weak 4/5. The tracks themselves are decent by HH's standards, but the screams are as terrible as always. RIP Casey.
