  Absolutely fantastic sounding record. It's dynamic and crisp, with hardly any unwanted noise straight out of the sleeve. The color's more like watermelon than clear and red, but it still looks great.

  Wow, what a pleasant shock! I didn't have high hopes, but this is top-notch. The tunes, performance, and the production and pressing quality are all superb. It's as if they've discovered a fresh spark and vigor for their songwriting and guitar playing. The sound mix is fantastic, with every instrument standing out, clear as a bell. Black Francis' vocals and all the backing vocals are in peak form. The record is perfectly flat and free of any noise. Made by BMG in Germany, recorded and engineered in the UK, it's got a lot going for it. The smoky violet disc and the custom-cut sleeve look amazing. Not a single flaw in sight.
