I'd happily give this album/reissue 6 stars, but I'd likely go for 7. The sound quality is incredible and the music is just as outstanding.
Wow, what an incredible session! I'm currently listening to a pristine original pressing and I'm blown away by the sound quality for an album that's 67 years old. Every musician here shines, but Elvin Jones is on fire during this recording. Absolutely killer stuff!
Hard to fathom that these original recordings were already over 40 years in the past when this first reissue came out. The sound quality is simply enchanting. BG has a real ear for audio.
