At last, another fantastic Skid Row record, It's got that vibe their first two had I absolutly loved it.
Absolutely adore it! The tunes are phenomenal! It reminds me of their first couple of records. Plus, the red, black, and white splatter vinyl is pretty neat (even though I typically steer clear of colored vinyl when I can). The only issue I have is that it sounds quite squashed. Sure, it's digital, but I feel like the vinyl was an afterthought. If you can overlook that, it's a fantastic album! Highly suggest it. Particularly if you're a die-hard Skid Row enthusiast.
Fantastic sound! Bass is crisp and hits hard. No issues with mine.
This album marks a fantastic comeback, with Eric's vocals strikingly reminiscent of Seb's. "October's Song" is a prime example of what I mean. The band is absolutely on fire, each track oozing the same energy and power as their first two records. The sound, as others have pointed out, is quite compressed, but the bass lines are incredibly catchy and powerful, punchy and crystal clear. The guitar riffs are excellent, the solos top-notch, making this a top-tier album in every way. I've got the splatter vinyl, which sounds alright, but after a thorough cleaning (just one tiny pop).
I concur with the crowd, it's surely squished... even at max volume, it ain't got much punch.
