This boxset has left me impressed with its sheer volume of content, though I gather that's par for the course with K-Pop boxsets. If you're a Blackpink enthusiast with some wall space to spare, you'll find a treasure trove of photos and four distinct photobook sets perfect for displaying or sharing. The pressing itself is a sight to behold, with a stunning yet delicate silver iridescent jacket. The vinyl is a standard black LP, which I'd wager is around 140g, housed in a rounded bottom poly inner sleeve. The vinyl and jacket were tucked beneath the polaroids, large postcards, stand-type photocards, and big photos, which unfortunately led to some light ringwear upon delivery due to the weight pressing down on either side. It's a bit of a letdown, but I suppose that's the norm for boxsets. As for the sound, I'm rocking a pretty basic, budget-friendly setup, so I can't vouch for its dynamics. But for me, there's just a touch of surface noise and minimal cracks or pops, if any.
The vinyl is pretty nice, not a fan of the gatefold though, the cover is pretty but it's kinda boring at the same time, but the color of the vinyl is really really nice
Picked up my copy from Target, and unfortunately, it skips and gets all staticky in certain spots.. But hey, it's still a solid album overall.
The vinyl is impressively hushed and pristine. The mastering, as others have noted, isn't perfect but given that this is the sole pressing of the album, it's more than acceptable!
I'm totally in love with this pressing! It's got such little noise towards the end that it's no big deal. Sounds incredible! And it looks fantastic too.
