Absolutely amazing album, and the CD release is super cool, definitely worth checking out. The unboxing experience is really neat, showcasing the inspirations with the disc held securely, which is something I usually struggle with in vinyl-style cardboard CD sleeves.
Has anyone else picked up on the excessive noise coming from the C side?
Wow, what a fantastic album! It's absolutely amazing throughout. Most tracks are in French, which I believe adds a refreshing twist compared to today's music. The pressing is beautifully detailed, with each side feeling like a standalone masterpiece. It's packed with funk and groove, leaning into nu disco. If you're a fan of Daft Punk or Parcels, you're in for a treat. Plus: The vinyl cover art is top-notch, and the inside includes each track along with the artists that inspired them. So unique and thoughtful. I'm really impressed with the effort put into this record.
Sure, there's a few pops and crackles scattered about, but c'mon, it's vinyl, you take your chances. Apart from that, it sounds fantastic, with a bass so deep it'll shake your soul. The records themselves are nice and solid too. All good stuff. The packaging is pretty sweet as well: they've used some thick materials for the sleeves and gatefold. The cover's got a shiny finish, which is kinda unique even if it's not the prettiest thing. And that fake obi-strip? Hilarious.
Excellent pressing, really quiet and sounds fantastic! Really flat too.
