Product Description

Sublime's self-titled third studio album, released on July 30, 1996, is a genre-defying masterpiece that blends reggae rock, ska punk, and ska into a seamless and captivating soundscape. Produced by Paul Leary and David Kahne, this album is a testament to the band's unique ability to fuse diverse musical influences into a cohesive and electrifying whole.

The album opens with the iconic "Trenchtown Rock," setting the tone for the eclectic journey that follows. Tracks like "What I Got" and "Santeria" showcase Sublime's knack for crafting catchy, memorable hooks that resonate with listeners. The album's diverse range of styles is evident in songs like the dub-infused "Doin' Time" and the acoustic renditions of "Saw Red" and "Little District."

Sublime's third album is notable not just for its musical prowess but also for its cultural impact. Released just two months after the untimely death of lead singer Bradley Nowell, the album serves as a poignant tribute to his legacy and the band's enduring influence. The album's raw energy and emotional depth make it a timeless piece of work that continues to inspire and captivate fans worldwide.

With a duration of 1 hour and 56 minutes, the album offers a rich and varied listening experience, featuring 17 original tracks and several bonus versions, including demos, instrumentals, and remixes. Sublime's self-titled album is a must-listen for fans of ska punk and reggae rock, offering a unique blend of genres and a powerful testament to the band's artistic vision.

This LP is pressed on Red vinyl.

  • Sublime's Finest Re-Release

    4 out of 5 stars
    whuzyosuh4 January 2026United States🇺🇸

Without a doubt, this is one of the finest sounding records in my whole collection, especially among my latest re-releases. The quality is top-notch as well. If you're even a little bit into Sublime, you won't have any regrets picking up this copy.

  • First Impressions: Sublime Vinyl

    5 out of 5 stars
    olgawh28 December 2025United States🇺🇸

First time reviewing! Really enjoying disc 1 up to this point. The audio is crisp, and the bass is powerful. Haven't got any other Sublime self-titled records on vinyl to contrast it with. Shoutout to Ryan K Smith!!

  • Crisp Clear Pressing

    5 out of 5 stars
    subobin134519 December 2025United States🇺🇸

Minimal Warp (Easily Fixed by The Vinyl Flat!) Strongly suggest this, the pressing sounds crisp and clear, like listening with headphones but without the headphones 🙃

  • Warping Woes and Sound Quality

    5 out of 5 stars
    skuok41511 December 2025United States🇺🇸

LP number one has a pretty bad edge warp. GZ's warping issue is becoming a real problem and it's getting tiresome. This might be the final straw for my VMP subscription. Update: managed to flatten my LP1 and it sounds amazing. Ryan K Smith did an incredible job with this pressing. Maybe VMP gets a second chance here...Received a replacement copy (LP 1 was also warped) and one thing that was the same between both was a weird crackling noise on side C from Paddle Out into Johnny Butt when playing with a microline (ML) stylus. They sound fine on my other elliptical tips but I guess the ML sits deeper in the groove. I've had a similar experience with other records but it's pretty rare.

  • Fortunate Flat Clarity

    5 out of 5 stars
    qiininukgjocua26 November 2025United States🇺🇸

Seems I got fortunate, flat, tranquil, amazing clarity and pressing.
