Long-time TFF enthusiast, but this one's a bit meh. The new tracks are alright, probably scraps from The Tipping. Live songs are fine too, but I can't imagine myself playing this much. Vinyl quality's good, and the packaging's nice though.
Let down that they cut out nearly all the Tipping Point songs.
The four fresh tracks are decent, but the audio quality could be improved. Fortunately, the live songs from A5 onwards sound better, though still not outstanding. I've got three sealed powered subs going, and I feel there's not enough bass until side 2 kicks in, so I'm puzzled about what others are saying. There's some random surface noise, mostly between a few songs, but it's not a big deal as it disappears quickly. The vocals are a bit in the background on the live songs, but it's still awesome to hear these tracks performed live, as their performance is incredible.
It's utterly ridiculous that Roland isn't handling the lead vocals on "Suffer The Children." Sure, it's nice to have different vocals standing out, but the center channel completely disappearing between lead vocal parts is incredibly frustrating. I understand what they were aiming for with the live feel, but the band's sounds during those leads fill the space just fine. Just leave it that way. The mix is clear and the performance is solid, but I won't be listening to this one again. Might even sell it.
Audio quality is awful on my setup, extremely noisy and all messed up. My system's working perfectly, just listened to a jazz album for comparison and it sounds amazing
