Fantastic visuals, illustrations, and photography. The sound quality is really quite impressive. The bass is exceptionally well blended and mastered. Perhaps a vinyl enthusiast from YouTube could compare the 33 and 45 RPM versions to see if there's any noticeable difference. The records aren't perfectly flat (they're a tad bowl-shaped), but it's not a big deal. They come with those thick card inner sleeves that, while looking great, are a bit snug for the records! I swapped them out for anti-static sleeves after the first spin.

Upon giving it a gentle clean, my version of this pressing delivers incredibly crisp sound. It's unreasonable to expect "Audiophone Vinyl" quality from this album, and I don't blame this pressing for any audio issues. The music and performances are fantastic, but the corporate compression approach used in the mix was poorly executed. The frequency response and stereo imaging are superb, but the dynamic range is lacking, as are the drums above ~6k, especially when vocals aren't present. These issues stem from a run-of-the-mill application of corporate rock compression techniques. I have no complaints about this particular pressing. It's definitely worth purchasing. The music is great, and the presentation is top-notch. The photography series and lyric booklet are a bit shallow and don't quite live up to the expectations set by the large gatefold and booklet, but the paper quality and printing are excellent. No issues with the physical product, just some disappointment in the overall graphic design. As for those complaining about surface noise, a thorough cleaning might help. Larger indie-pop releases like this often pick up dust during assembly line storage or are cleaned with less vigor by the pressing plants. It's a testament to the strength of the recorded performance that it overshadows the quality of the subsequent professional work, including post-production and graphic design. After all, most of the songs are just two chords. However, the group's performance across all ten tracks is truly excellent.
