As mentioned earlier, loads of tracks are absent, which is just not on. All this time and delays for a vinyl that's not even finished? Sure, the quality's top-notch, but honestly, half an hour shorter than the CD? That's a total scam.
Despite how fantastic this LP appears and sounds, AVOID purchasing it! The CD and digital versions of the score are complete, but this vinyl release omits numerous tracks. So much music is missing, including the score from the opening scene with Tara and Ghostface, which contains my favorite moment from the whole movie. The hospital music is also gone. Both the CD and digital versions clock in at just over 70 minutes, while the LP only has around 40. That's nearly half an hour of music that VS is withholding from customers! There's no justification for this. It should've been a double LP set. Nowhere does VS's site, or any other source, mention that to hear the entire score, you'll need to buy the CD or digital copy. I'd call it a rip-off and a desperate money grab to make people buy multiple copies just to get all the tracks. Vinyl is expensive and should be treated the same as their CD/digital counterparts. The cover with the shiny printing on GF's knife looks great, the disc itself is high-quality and free of noise, and the insert sheet is cool, but that's pretty much where the positives stop. I'd say skip this LP until another label decides to include the entire score instead of cherry-picking it. I'm sure their delayed Scream 6 vinyl will be the same way. Vinyl buyers shouldn't have to spend extra cash just to receive a product that's missing material available on cheaper CD and digital releases. It's a massive slap in the face to score lovers and fans of the franchise. I'd rate this release a 2.5/10. The aesthetics are nice and the sound/vinyl quality is good, but it doesn't make up for being an overpriced and incomplete product.
