Product Description

McCoy Tyner, a titan of jazz piano, delivers a masterful performance with his 1972 album "Sahara." This captivating collection of tracks showcases Tyner's virtuosity across a spectrum of jazz styles, from the fiery intensity of hard bop to the cooler, more contemplative tones of cool jazz. The album opens with "Ebony Queen," a piece that immediately sets the tone with its intricate rhythms and rich harmonies. "A Prayer For My Family" follows, offering a more introspective moment, while "Valley Of Life" and "Rebirth" demonstrate Tyner's ability to blend bebop's spontaneity with free jazz's exploratory spirit. The title track, "Sahara," closes the album with a mesmerizing blend of complexity and elegance. Recorded for Original Jazz Classics, "Sahara" is a testament to Tyner's enduring influence and innovation in jazz, making it a standout addition to any music lover's collection.

  • Stunning Album, Odd Channel Switch

    5 out of 5 stars
    jobveudhuwjuvz21 November 2025United States🇺🇸

This is an excellent pressing of a stunning album. The only thing that feels a bit odd with this pressing is a strange channel switch during Ebony Queen that switches back around a minute later.
