RESISTANCE marks the point where Burning Spear's music took a more commercial turn, while still retaining its militant and ominous undertones, albeit toned down. The album features livelier arrangements, a noticeable horn section, some electronic drum beats, and a stronger rock element, especially in the closing track, "Love To You". The sound quality of this pressing is decent, not as bass-driven as typical roots reggae, and it has that characteristic 80's gloss. My copy is in excellent condition visually but has a bit of surface noise when played.
