Now that I've got a setup that can really do justice to the bass, I'm absolutely loving this album. It's an incredible piece of artistry. Funny how I didn't catch it earlier, but this time I noticed that "Swim" features a guitar riff that's pure "Feel Flows" by The Beach Boys. Carl Wilson and Jack Rieley should totally get a co-write on that one.
I can't help but agree with what everyone else has said, this promo pressing is hands down the ultimate way to experience this album!
The sound quality is just breathtaking - was this done with half-speed mastering or DMM or something like that? It's absolutely fantastic with my ortofan bronze - the detail and immersion are just incredible.
Going through every album in my collection, I'm amazed that an Argentinian pressing can outdo the Rhino Reissues in sound quality. Sure, the print and artwork are way worse, but the vinyl's audio is phenomenal; THANTH really blew my mind.
This album is packed with great content and features tunes that stick with you. The pressing quality is above average, though I did have to trim and clean the edges of the records I received from the factory due to some rough spots and residue. I probably should've said something about that... The second record has a slight warp, but it plays almost perfectly with minimal distortion. The sound quality is fantastic, offering a great sense of space, solid bass, and clear details. The covers are top-notch, with an outer pocket that makes handling a breeze. I'd definitely recommend it. Enjoy...Played on:Technics SL-100C, Ortofon Concorde Music Bronze, Rega Fono MM MK5, Technics SU-G700M2, Yamaha NS-333/777, Vinyl Cleaner Pro-Ject VC-E
