This album is absolutely fantastic. I'm thrilled she's settled into her musical niche after releasing the tracks (which I adored, mind you) from her younger days. She seems right at home here. Excellent quality pressing.
I gotta say, this could've been phrased SO much better. Big Crown, you can do way more. And the packaging? Super cheap, honestly.
This album is absolutely fantastic! The band is incredible, the production is top-notch, her voice is stunning, and the songwriting is brilliant. It's a true modern-day soul classic that manages to sound fresh and contemporary while still capturing that timeless 60s and 70s Motown and Stax vibe. Every track is a winner! :-)
This record has a really nice sound. But straight outta the cover, it was quite grimy and side A's got a warp that's more than I'd like. Lady Wray's amazing, truly underappreciated.
