Following the massive success of "Dakota" from Language. Sex. Violence. Other? was always going to be a tough act to follow. Sadly, I think this album falls a bit short. However, there's a standout track for me: 'Daisy Lane.' It's got this soothing, almost lullaby-like tune, and the lyrics about a boy losing his life over a mobile phone prove that Kelly can still write a song that's depressing in all the right ways.
Blah, yet another Stereophonics album that just doesn't quite hit the mark. It's so average, I can't even be bothered to engage with it. I suppose the issue is mine though, I expect them to be a top-tier rock band, but truthfully, they're just a pop band with a penchant for mellow tunes. Overall, I was left wanting more, perhaps one day they'll return to their roots. Stand Out Tracks; 'It Means Nothing', 'My Friends', 'I Could Lose Ya'
