  • Jazz Trio's Broadway Brilliance

This record is on a fascinating label...TIME featured some amazing artists and also distributed plenty of cutouts in stores and other shops...Marian was a leading jazz musician who came from New York City and released numerous albums throughout her extensive and diverse career...This personalized Broadway soundtrack is just her accompanied by two other musicians...Ben Tucker is on the bass and Jake Hanna on the drums...For me, that's all I'd need on a deserted island...a trio...and don't overlook the brushes, Mr. Drummer...Oh, a seductive singer could be part of the mix too...Julie London? Absolutely, that would be perfect...McParland is incredibly nimble on the piano and truly can bring any song to life...This album is more than proof of that...So, grab a copy and listen to "West Side Story" as you've NEVER heard it before...
