Product Description

Released on January 1, 1986, under Capitol Records, "Peace Sells...But Who's Buying?" is the second studio album by the legendary thrash metal band Megadeth. This iconic album is a cornerstone of the thrash metal genre, showcasing the raw talent and aggressive musicianship that Megadeth is known for. With a runtime of 55 minutes, the album features a blend of thrash metal, heavy metal, and speed metal, delivering a powerful and relentless listening experience.

The album includes both remastered tracks and original mixes by Randy Burns, offering a dynamic range of sounds that highlight the band's versatility. Standout tracks like "Peace Sells" and "Wake Up Dead" have become anthems of the genre, showcasing the band's ability to craft memorable riffs and intense solos. The lyrics, often politically charged and thought-provoking, add depth to the music, making "Peace Sells...But Who's Buying?" not just a collection of songs but a statement.

Megadeth's frontman, Dave Mustaine, brings his distinctive voice and songwriting prowess to the forefront, creating an album that is both musically and lyrically compelling. The album's production quality, even in its original form, has stood the test of time, and the remastered versions bring out even more clarity and intensity. Whether you're a longtime fan of Megadeth or a newcomer to the thrash metal scene, "Peace Sells...But Who's Buying?" is an essential addition to any metal enthusiast's collection.

This 2021 Reissue Repress LP is pressed on 180g vinyl.

  • Vinyl Disappointment

    2 out of 5 stars
    nuexgzutito28 December 2025United States🇺🇸

I was really looking forward to this on Vinyl, it's always been one of my all-time favorite Megadeth albums, owned it on cassette and CD back in the day... Holy sh*t this record is TERRIBLE!! It's like they took some crappy MP3s and just slapped it onto vinyl! Major letdown.

  • XDR Dolby B HX Pro Shines

    5 out of 5 stars
    YijoDBIr01 December 2025United States🇺🇸

I gotta say, this version of the album is really something I appreciate. The XDR with Dolby B HX Pro brings a unique sound that I'm really into. It's a fantastic album, no matter how you listen to it!

  • Raw Sound Delight

    3 out of 5 stars
    Gaxwovqwmeid12 November 2025United States🇺🇸

I initially just had the remastered version on CD, but honestly, this one appears to be even better. It's got that raw sound, which I reckon is what makes it so appealing. Crank up the volume and I reckon you'll be happy with it. It's not an album I'd usually go for when I want crystal-clear sound quality.

  • Amazing Reissue Quality

    5 out of 5 stars
    Pabrety10 November 2025United States🇺🇸

Great reissue! The cover and audio quality are fantastic. This album is simply amazing!

  • 80s Rock Classic

    3 out of 5 stars
    midtemu7 September 2025United States🇺🇸

The music of the 80s is something I struggle with, and I often find it a bit of a jumble, especially when it comes to rock. Megadeth definitely rocks, but the lead singer's voice is a tad boring, and the music can feel a bit tired. Metallica, Megadeth's main competitor, is honestly way better, though I won't say Megadeth doesn't give it their all—they do, and they rock just as hard. I know I'm going to play this over and over, and I'll probably grow to love it. It's a rock classic, and I'm glad it's now on my iTunes. Standout tracks: Wake Up Dead, Peace Sells, and Devils Island.
