Incredible, this is absolutely amazing! The pressing and mastering are top-notch. Bellman knocked it out of the park.
Optimal has delivered a fantastic flat pressing here, offering a soundstage that's open, expansive, and incredibly dynamic, with zero surface noise to distract from the listening experience. As for the album itself, "Paradise Valley" is the sixth studio effort from American singer-songwriter John Mayer, dropped on August 20, 2013, under Columbia Records. Musically, it's quite akin to his prior album "Born and Raised" (2012), but it also brings in more musical interludes and instrumentals, leaning towards electric guitars instead of harmonicas. The title's inspiration comes from Mayer's residence along the Yellowstone River in Montana's Paradise Valley, where he's been since 2012. The album's lead single, "Paper Doll," hit the airwaves on June 18, 2013, followed by "Wildfire" on July 16, 2013, which officially made its way to Triple A radio on August 20, 2013. "Who You Love" served as the third single, impacting Hot AC radio on September 3, 2013.
Awesome album but terrible release!! The opening track skips on every vinyl I've tried (3) at the exact same spot. So my tip is to hold off for a reprint!
Terrible, distorted and full of noise from United. Seek out an original pressed at Pallas instead.
Fantastic record pressing. Just as many have noted, it's got that warm summer vibe, but not overdone. The sound quality is superb, and it's probably just how John Mayer would want you to experience this album.
