I've got this pressing and the original from '74. The bass here isn't doing it for me, it's a bit muddled, like they tried to give it a more modern spin with too much boom for my liking. So, I'd say this version's alright, but the older ones are definitely the way to go.
We keep the original case, but we hide it under a more 'cute' design. What a stupid time.
Translated automatically,Barclay's reissue quality is quite disappointing. My vinyl has tons of scratches and a lot of hissing. The album itself is amazing and I adore it, but I'm really not satisfied with how it was pressed.
I'm really into this album. The audio quality of this reissue is alright but doesn't quite match the Versailles edition I've got from '77. It might've been digitally remastered, I wouldn't be shocked. Still, it's worth having a second copy for the release details and the English rendition of 'le sud'.
Having not had the opportunity to compare it with the original, I can say that my version sounds loud and clear, and it's a joy to listen to. In my view, the only downside of this album is the picture on the front cover that is a bit pixelated.
