Unlike most of my see-through albums, this one's a winner. Plum's appearance and sound are both top-notch. The cover and inserts are pretty sweet too.
The art and the vinyl's color are just fantastic. I've got many beautiful records, but this one's an immediate favorite. The sound is great too. There's a lot of intriguing sounds and rhythms to explore in this album. Conor Mason's voice is fantastic.
Upon listening, I noticed a touch of hiss on "Moral Panic", but other than that, both discs sound fantastic to me. I was taken aback by the shade, as it appears quite distinct from the one shown here, and it's even more stunning in real life -- the true color is a cool, dark purple that shifts to fuchsia when light shines through it. It's gorgeous and complements the artwork perfectly! All in all, this is a fantastic edition and an excellent album, so I'm thrilled to have it in my collection.
I'm puzzled as to why this is categorized as a compilation: it truly deserves to stand alone as an album. The inclusion of Moral Panic II brings the project to its full conclusion. Both halves are absolutely fantastic.
My copy was truly awful, filled with lots of ticks, clicks, and harsh sibilance. I sent it back right away and got the standard version on vinyl, which wasn't flawless but was a significant improvement.
