Product Description

Feist, the Canadian indie folk artist known for her enchanting vocals and intricate compositions, presents "Metals," a captivating chamber pop album released on January 1, 2011, under Universal Music Division Decca Records France. This collection of eleven tracks offers a delicate blend of Feist's signature artistry and a rich, orchestral sound.

"Metals" opens with "The Bad In Each Other," a hauntingly beautiful duet with Ben Gibbard of Death Cab for Cutie, setting the tone for the album's introspective and melodic journey. The tracks that follow, such as "Graveyard" and "Caught A Long Wind," showcase Feist's ability to weave intricate lyrics with lush, layered instrumentation. The album's title track, "Metals," is a standout, featuring a mesmerizing blend of strings and Feist's ethereal vocals.

Throughout "Metals," Feist explores themes of love, loss, and self-discovery, creating a deeply personal and evocative listening experience. The album's chamber pop genre is evident in its use of classical instruments and orchestral arrangements, which add a sense of grandeur and depth to Feist's already captivating sound. With a total runtime of just over an hour, "Metals" is a testament to Feist's musical prowess and her ability to create an immersive and emotionally resonant body of work. Whether you're a longtime fan or a newcomer to Feist's music, "Metals" is sure to leave a lasting impression.

This is a 2015 Reissue released as a LP.

  • Ultimate Album with Bonus Tracks

    5 out of 5 stars
    sjofoAtiyafv7 November 2025United States🇺🇸

This is the ultimate version of this album. The audio quality is unmatched. (If you've got a decent setup and appreciate first press Japanese CDs, you'll understand what I mean.) The bonus tracks genuinely enhance the album. They're not just filler or studio leftovers; they fit seamlessly, like they were always part of the original.

  • Great Album

    2 out of 5 stars
    WixhulAoljexn25 June 2025United States🇺🇸

I picked up this record from A&C not too long ago. There was a bunch of hiss on the opening track and all over side 2. I scrubbed it a few times, but maybe I just got a faulty copy. The packaging is pretty basic too. I attempted to send it back, but they never got back to my email. Apart from the noisy tracks, the sound quality was pretty decent. It's a powerful album, so the loud sections sounded awesome, even on the tracks with the noise.

  • Green Marble's Subtle Static

    3 out of 5 stars
    xctaq.ees9 May 2025United States🇺🇸

There's a touch of static and hiss, but it's not that noticeable. The 'green marble' is more of a steady green with some black and yellow lines, though lol
