This album is fantastic, the pressing is top-notch, it sounds amazing.
I'm only giving this four stars 'cause I gotta save one for "Cosa Nuestra," which just barely beats this with its killer tracks. Sound quality's as good as you'd expect from a reissue, and the cover's clearly not the original artwork.
Too bad my copy has some fuzz on the absolute standout track of the record…what a letdown :(Apart from that, it's a solid pressing
Kevin Gray's mastering is top-tier AAA, and it sounds incredible. The rhythm section really hits hard. Super stoked to have grabbed #001!
Craft Recordings' Fania Reissues can be a bit uneven in terms of quality. My copy has a lot of noise during the softer parts, but even with that, this reissue sounds amazing compared to my original 1973 pressing. The soundstage is incredible, and the instruments are really well-defined.
