This guy's got the blues running through his veins, like he's lived a thousand lives. I took a chance and grabbed both his studio albums, and let me say, he's right up there with the legends. The sound quality is fantastic too! He's got that old soul for sure. Keep it up, kid. This is SRV-level stuff in my book!
After spotting it on an audio forum, I decided to give this a go. What an amazing album from a gifted young artist! Can't wait for more from "Kingfish". Definitely worth checking out.

It's been four long years since I first caught Kingfish live at Reds in Clarksdale, and now this vinyl has finally made it to my London home. Back then, he was just a 16-year-old kid, his mom handling the five-dollar entry at the door, but there was something magical in his fingertips, the blues coursing through him. This record transported me right back to that night, and I'm truly grateful. Christone is a young man whose grandma knew what she was talking about - he's "been here before," and we should all be thankful he's been given back to us.
