Out of the box, this one's packed with all the extras - smudges, static cling, grime, dust, you get the picture... I'd highly suggest giving it a thorough wipe down before playing it. Mine's even got a few tiny scratches scattered about. It is a 30th-anniversary edition, after all.
The pressing quality is above average, with the record being a tad uneven, but it plays smoothly without any distortion apart from a couple of clicks. The audio is fantastic, boasting superb dynamics, bass, and details. The cover art is top-notch and visually appealing. I last heard this album on a cassette from a street market (which, like most things back then, wasn't an original) so listening to it now is quite nostalgic, but also a fresh experience. The sound quality is vastly improved, and I'm picking up on new details. The album itself is still enjoyable, though perhaps in a different way now that I'm 50. I'd definitely recommend it. Fantastic re-release. The audio is simply superb, and the vinyl's quality is top-notch.
Truly fantastic, quiet pressing with a superb sound balance. Certain Demo versions outshine the originals, particularly the incredibly spaced out cosmic / atmospheric italo disco pieces 'Things Will Never Be The Same' and '(Do You Get) Excited?'
The audio quality is phenomenal. I just wish I had known what it was meant to sound like when it first released on CD.
