Upon spotting this at my neighborhood music shop, I just had to grab this quintessential Aussie album. I got it as a Christmas surprise for my wife, and we're both thrilled with it. The DVD is fantastic to watch too. It came well-packaged, and the vinyl sounds amazing – top-notch job!
I'm baffled by the low ratings this album's getting. It's the top-selling album in Australian history (take that for what it's worth)!!!! Let's give credit where it's due!!!! It's genuinely a fantastic album with some catchy tunes. Sure, it's more Pop than Rock, but who cares? Michael Jackson had some amazing songs and he wasn't exactly a rocker either. I'm rating it 4.5 stars because it's incredibly well-made, there are some seriously talented musicians behind the tracks, and I just really enjoyed it. But that's just my opinion.
Where do I even start? It's an Aussie legend. The mix, mastering, and pressing are spot on .. every Aussie ought to own this album
At last, John Farnham's talent truly shined with this album, and it's about time! After so many years, a fresh crowd is discovering him and are blown away by his incredible voice and stage presence in his prime! This record takes me back to so many moments. It's got that classic ‘80’s sound, and even though the pressing is a tad thin and bright, the hits and, of course, his voice are absolutely top-notch!
This album is absolutely fantastic, it was amazing back in '86 and still holds up perfectly now. One of the most incredible vocalists of our time. My copy is in great shape.
