  • Bonus CD Inclusion Query

    5 out of 5 stars
    Atrejeh30 December 2025United States🇺🇸

The first 100 or so copies, perhaps exclusively from Rough Trade, included a bonus CD. Should the entire set (2LP+CD) be listed separately or just noted here?

  • Gil Scott-Heron's Triumphant Return

    5 out of 5 stars
    cuxumoyaos14 August 2025United States🇺🇸

Gil Scott-Heron delivers an amazing comeback with this entire album being a triumph from beginning to end, showcasing why he remains an extraordinary artist over 16 years since 'Spirits' in 1994. My personal highlights include 'On Coming From A Broken Home' (parts 1 & 2), 'Me and the devil', and 'New York is Killing Me' with their contemporary production. But the track that truly captures my heart is the enchanting 'My Cloud', the final song on the bonus disc, which could easily have been part of an early 70's Flying Dutchman session. To sum it up, this track made the whole LP for me.

  • Gil Scott-Heron's Timeless Finale

    5 out of 5 stars
    johsoxbekj26 July 2025United States🇺🇸

This album is absolutely amazing. The production, mastering, all of it. It's Gil Scott-Heron's final work put out during his lifetime. This record feels like a montage of his life's body of work, even giving a nod to his rightful place as one of the unintentional pioneers of hip hop's sound and spirit. If you're a fan of any of his previous stuff, you gotta have this in your collection.

  • Audio Alright, Music Journal

    5 out of 5 stars
    Muw0296 July 2025United States🇺🇸

The audio's alright, no bending, a couple of crackles now and then but I ain't wiped it down yet. It's a music journal, more for keeping than playing.

  • Warped Yet Amazing Album

    5 out of 5 stars
    hohnuzc30 December 2024United Kingdom🇬🇧

This album is absolutely fantastic. Sure, it's a bit warped but honestly, who minds when it sounds this amazing? The music is top-notch throughout, perfect for listening rather than just collecting. I've never seen such a weird mix of reviews for a release before.
