This is an awesome bootleg pressing. The sound quality is even better than some of the official Death Grips records. It doesn't come with an inner sleeve, and the jacket is a tad small, but you can easily fix that with aftermarket sleeves. The audio is pretty much spot on with the digital version, just a few tiny gaps between tracks, but no significant issues or hiss. I'd definitely suggest this to anyone who wants to listen to it on vinyl but doesn't want to pay for an original.
The sleeve and jacket design aren't the best...they feel kinda flimsy, but what can you do? When I listened to it, though, I was really blown away by the sound, it's incredibly good 8/10. The official version is super pricey right now, but there's another official pressing dropping in October 2023, it's unlimited, but yeah I'm gonna grab one and see how they stack up :)
I'm clueless about who pressed this vinyl, but I'd give them a medal. It's rare these days to find a record this flat, crisp, and loud (in the best way possible) right out of the gate.
This pressing sounds fantastic! I notice a lot of folks griping about represses, but honestly, I'm not seeing much complaining at all. I snagged the original pressing when it first dropped (at retail price). The demand for the first version will always be there, what with the unique color, alternate cover, and license plate. But it's truly great to have a more standard version that I can play without worrying about damaging it.
To the person who just grabbed that $450 deal, I hope it brings you some joy :(
