Did anyone else spot that sneaky link on the hype sticker? It seems to lead to a Washington Post piece, something about nihilism. Can't quite make it out, it's obscured by the 'extinct - black vinyl' part.
This album serves as an excellent mental reset, cleansing one's auditory senses. The steady rhythm makes it surprisingly enjoyable to dance to. I'm genuinely happy with this release and hope Merzbow collaborates with more musicians, transforming their musical perspectives forever. Enough with the country-influenced albums; everyone should experience Masami Akita's therapeutic soundscapes. The hexagonal artwork is a fantastic touch.
