Once again, Barney Kessel delivers a fantastic set of performances in this small group setting. His guitar takes center stage, bold and prominent, showcasing his signature style. The sound quality is excellent, and the vinyl pressing is top-notch.

Barney Kessel doesn't get the recognition he deserves these days, but his work on Contemporary is some of the finest Jazz guitar out there. This is an incredible bargain, the Original Jazz Classics pressing sounds amazing, largely thanks to Roy DuNann's recording skills which are as good as, if not better than, RVG's. I actually prefer DuNann's work over RVG's. Barney's playing is top-notch, his guitar tone in these early recordings is fantastic, and his skill is unmatched. The band is perfect, and the track selection is great. I've got the original 10-inch version of this too, but this pressing isn't any worse. Trust me, I've been a Jazz guitarist all my life. DON'T MISS OUT ON THIS!
