To put it bluntly, the album on Spotify didn't quite hit the mark for me. But hey, I still went ahead and got the physical version because the artwork is stunning, and now it sounds absolutely fantastic on my turntable. 10/10
First off, let me tell you, I'm that picky audiophile. This picture disc is genuinely impressive, honestly better than any picture disc I've ever come across. That said, I gotta admit, it could probably sound even better if it was on standard vinyl. There's a tiny "swoosh" sound during the quietest bits, and occasionally, I can pick up on some constraints in the background, really faint though. Plus, there are a couple of pops, super minor, and a few brief harsh noises between tracks (like right before "Like a Mack"). It's not too distracting though. For now, this is fantastic and way superior to any streaming option out there, lossless or not.
I can agree, the pressing sounds fantastic! One of the best picture discs in my collection. It's got a unique, bass-heavy sound. I'd definitely recommend it.
Absolutely dig the way this record appears, such a rad concept. Bummer there wasn't a regular vinyl version or even one without the artwork. The sound quality is fantastic, way better than typical picture discs. The bass is surprisingly impressive! The overall clarity is great too. But, the in-between song moments can be a bit harsh on the ears because of the picture disc. Still, the tracks themselves are awesome!
the sound quality is so impressive, i wouldn't believe it's a pic disc if you told me! the bass is insane and the whole thing looks amazing, plus the packaging is top-notch
